Appeals

Courts are not always right and sometimes an Order rendered during the case or a trial decision at the end of a case needs to be appealed to a higher court. There are very strict guidelines pertaining to appeals and deadlines must be complied with.  A Notice of Appeals must be filed to preserve your rights to appeal and this must be filed in a specified time period.

Cheryl Mallis is very experienced with Appeals in both the First and Second Departments having prepared numerous appellate briefs.

Time is very crucial for taking an appeal and a party must decide quickly if they want to appeal from an Order or Decision.
